TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED

AGREEMENT REACHED
Tonight after many lengthy bargaining sessions, we reached an agreement for the 2014-2015 contract re-openers. We started these negotiations with the school board offering $0 for employee salary increases. After many long hours of hard work we have reached a tentative agreement.

The bargaining team worked tirelessly to find every dollar available. Taking the current political and budget climate in mind, we think that the resolution is fair and helps move us forward for the year.

Agreement Bullet points:
• Highlights of M-DCPS/DCSMEC Collective Bargaining for 2014-2015
1. 2% salary increase effective 7/1/2014 to be payable 12/12/2014. (RETRO)
2. Tuition Reimbursement – Maximum reimbursement increased from $70 to $100 per credit hour.
3. Personal Property Loss Fund – expanded to cover lost or damaged tools. Maximum reimbursement increased from $300 to $400 per claim.

➢ Same options and health plan design as available in 2014
➢ Cigna OAP 10, OAP 20 and Local Plus
➢ No increase in premium rates for employee and dependent coverage for OAP 20 and Local Plus;
➢ Slight increase in premiums for OAP 10.
➢ Employees remain in Salary Bands based on 2011 salary.

Benefit enhancements including:
