Elections for officers will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at all four MSC yards, and the ITS warehouse, polls will open at 7 AM and close at 3:30 PM. An election committee was selected at the general meeting, as per the DCSMEC by-laws, consisting of John Damm, Javier Chirino, William Cabrera.

General Membership Meeting

Attention all DCSMEC members we have a General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the DCSMEC hall located at 8250 NW 27th Street (Suit 308) Doral, FL 33122. Meeting starts promptly at 4:30pm and normally concludes no later than 7:30pm.

In addition to our normal business we will have a Special Order of Business to nominate Officers for the next term. You do not have to be present to be nominated however you must send in an acceptance letter to the union within five (5) business days to be placed on the ballot.

The Election of Officers will be conducted on Thursday October 10, 2019. Details of the election will be forthcoming and an Election Committee will be elected from the floor of the General Membership Meeting.

We encourage all members to attend, participate and get informed, please refrain from parking on assigned/numbered spaces. Park only in unmarked spaces please be advised that building management will tow all improperly parked vehicles.

All meetings are strictly for members only.

Unless there is a shift in #Dorian’s forecasted track, @MDCPS plans to open schools and resume operations on Wednesday, September 4th. We will, of course, continue analyzing storm’s movement, albeit slow, to ensure there is nothing that prevents us from reopening.

As a result of Hurricane Dorian, all Miami-Dade County Public Schools, including night and adult programs, as well as District offices will be closed and all student activities will be canceled on Tuesday, September 3rd.
