DCSMEC NOTICE for 9/25/2013

Dear Members,

We are pleased to announce that DCSMEC will be having our General Election for Officers on October 10, 2013 (as per the union By-Laws). There will be polling stations set up and open from 7 AM to 3:30 PM at all of the Maintenance Access Centers and the IT warehouse. For exact locations or any other questions please contact your shop stewards or Yard Representatives. The ballots will be counted by the Election Committee (Fred Adler, Don Anderson, Bill Bodden and John Terranova) at the Miami Free Zone conference room. Members in good standing are welcome to attend. A list of the candidates who were nominated is listed below;

DCSMEC NOTICE for 9/17/2013

Dear Members,

Please do not forget that there is a General Membership Meeting tomorrow September 17, 2013. The meeting will be held in the

Ronald Regan Senior High Auditorium

8600 NW 107TH AVENUE

DORAL, FL 33178

from 4:30PM to 7:30PM.

In addition to our normal business we will have a Special Order of Business to nominate Officers for the next term. You do not have to be present to be nominated however you must send in an acceptance letter to the union within five (5) business days to be placed on the ballot.

The Election of Officers will be conducted on Thursday October 10, 2013. Details of the election will be forthcoming and an Election Committee will be elected from the floor of the General Membership Meeting tomorrow night.

Please make your plans to attend and participate. A Union is only as strong as its members.

July 16 2013 General Membership meeting

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Please be reminded that we will be holding our General
Membership meeting on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the
DCSMEC location; 2315 NW 107 Avenue, Doral, 33172 in
conference room 2M 8-10 at 4:30pm.
In addition to the regular meeting agenda we will have guests
from Risk Management coming over to conduct a “Health
Fair” and answer Health Care/Insurance questions.

DCSMEC NOTICE 05/02/2012

Dear Brothers and Sisters:
DCSMEC is happy to announce that on May 1, 2012 the DCSMEC
Executive Board Committee appointed Rolando Sardinas currently assigned
in MC2 as Foreperson Electrician into office as Assistant Business Agent.
Along with Mr.Sardinas We also Wish to announce Gary Moore, Sound and
Communications onto our Executive Board and Negotiations Committee
replacing Mr. Sardinas and Art Bowra, Asbestos Inspector onto our
Negotiations Committee replacing Gary Moore. We hope you will join us in
congratulating Mr. Sardinas, Mr. Moore and Mr. Bowra into their newly
appointed role as officers of DCSMEC.

DCSMEC Notice 04/02/2012

Dear Members:

This Notice is for a few informational updates and upcoming events. At our
last Regular Membership meeting a By-Law passed a second reading and
we will now elect our Business Agent/Financial Secretary Treasurer if the
position becomes open prior to the completion of a current term. We had
our nomination meeting on March 27, 2012 and the following members have
accepted nomination:

Cortese, Joseph
DeCaso, Humberto
Laws, David
Sears, David
Valdez, Jorge

We will have an election on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the maintenance
centers as well as the OIT Warehouse. The polls will be open from 11:00am
until 3:30pm and we encourage everyone to come out and vote. The vote
will be counted that night by the Election Committee and the results will be
announced on Friday, April 13, 2012. The new Officer (elected) will take
office and be sworn in (or at) our next regular Membership meeting on May
15, 2012.

DCSMEC NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The DCSMEC Union will have a “Special” called Membership meeting
for nominations for the vacant Business Agent/Financial Secretary
Treasurer position on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Miami Free Zone
location, 2315 NW 107 Avenue, Miami, FL 33172 in Conference Room
2M8-9 at 4:30 pm. The election will be conducted on April 12, 2012 at
the MAC’s and the ITS Warehouse. The Agenda for the meeting is as
follows:

• Take nominations for the vacant Business Agent/Financial
Secretary Treasurer, Officers positions for the remainder of the
term.

• Select an Election Committee by majority vote of the members at
the meeting.

You do not have to be present to be nominated however; you must
provide a letter to the Union Office within five (5) business days
accepting the nomination. This Election process will be conducted
as close as possible to the existing procedures for nomination and
installation of Officers according to the By-Laws, Article V, Section 10.
