We are pleased to announce that DCSMEC will be having our General Election for Officers on October 10, 2013 (as per the union By-Laws). There will be polling stations set up and open from 7 AM to 3:30 PM at all of the Maintenance Access Centers and the IT warehouse. For exact locations or any other questions please contact your shop stewards or Yard Representatives. The ballots will be counted by the Election Committee (Fred Adler, Don Anderson, Bill Bodden and John Terranova) at the Miami Free Zone conference room. In addition to our normal business we will have a Special Order of Business to nominate Officers for the next term. You do not have to be present to be nominated however you must send in an acceptance letter to the union within five (5) business days to be placed on the ballot.

The Election of Officers will be conducted on Thursday October 10, 2013. Details of the election will be forthcoming and an Election Committee will be elected from the floor of the General Membership Meeting tomorrow night.

Please make your plans to attend and participate. A Union is only as strong as its members.
