2025 Wellness Health Fairs

DCSMEC received this notice from the Office of Risk and Benefits Management:

Good evening, Roly,

I hope this email finds you well. As previously discussed, I wanted to share the details of this year’s upcoming wellness health fairs. We just finalized the participation of the last vendor providing screenings, so I was unable to send this information sooner. I wanted to ensure you have a complete overview of all scheduled sites.

As you know, each year we bring wellness health fairs to all maintenance sites, offering employees the opportunity to meet with vendors, gather valuable information, and receive biometric testing along with additional health screenings.

The health fairs have been scheduled as follows, with all events taking place onsite except for MSC 4 (Redland). Due to renovations at the school, the MSC 4 fair will be held at South Dade Senior:

  • MSC 1 – TOYS
    12525 NW 28th Ave
    Friday, July 11
    Location: Training Room, second floor
  • MSC 2
    2925 NW 41st Street
    Tuesday, July 15
    Location: Cafeteria
  • MSC 3
    15301 SW 117th St
    Friday, July 18
Location: Training Room and Outside Hallway
  • MSC 4
    24600 SW 159 Ave
    Tuesday, July 22
(Held offsite at South Dade Senior- Cafeteria)

The events will feature all our current vendors, biometric screenings, and health coaches who will assist with the Tanita scale, providing not only weight measurements but also body water composition and wellness age assessments. Additional services will include DermaScan (skin cancer screening), fruit refreshments, and massages.

All sites have been informed, and promotional posters have been posted. We are excited to bring these valuable services to our employees once again. The events will run from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with setup beginning at 6:00 a.m.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information.

Appreciate your support and thanks.

Rosa Novo

Administrative Benefits Director
